So the current recommended procedure for RoBo R1 printers is:


R1 printers with automatic leveling built in:


  • Turn off the print leveling in MatterControl and use the Leveling build into the firmware. 
  • If you need to adjust the height you can set the Z Offset in 'Advanced Controls' > Settings > Printer > General 


Older RoBo printers that do not have automatic leveling built in:

or if you want to use the print leveling in MatterControl

  • Take the G29 out of your startup gcode
  • Set the Z Offest to 0.
