If you are having a problem with MatterControl that is not fixed by re-installing, you may need to delete some of the data that MatterControl saves on your computer.
Here is a procedure to follow:
- Go to the folder where MatterControl saves its user data
- Windows: C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\MatterControl
- The 'AppData' folder is often hidden but you can type it into the navigation bar after navigating to user -> your user name
- Mac: Macintosh HD -> Users -> {user} -> .loca -> share -> MatterControl
- Backup the MatterControl.db file then rename or delete it.
- This will delete all your settings and printer profiles but should get MatterControl back to a state where it can run again.
- Check if you can run MatterControl again. It it is still not working.
- Rename or delete the entire MatterControl folder.
- This will get you back to a fresh install state
If you do not have sensitive data in MatterControl, sending the MatterControl.db or a zip of the MatterControl folder to support@matterhackers.com can help us track down bugs and is appreciated.
